The Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival is a traditional and spiritual ceremony for many Latinos to celebrate the deceased.
Hundreds of East Bay residents, a majority of them Latino, flowed to Fruitvale Village, East Oakland last weekend to enjoy the delicious ethnic food, refreshments, music, face painting and games.
The festival represents happiness for some and sad memories for others.
