District Two
West Berkeley voted overwhelmingly to re-elect City Council Member Darryl Moore in last night’s election. Moore took 81 percent of the vote to his opponent, Jon Crowder’s 17 percent.
District Three
Council member Max Anderson, who ran unopposed, took 96 percent of the vote.
District Four
Jesse Arreguin won a four-way race for the late Donna Spring’s seat with 49 percent of the vote. Council members must garner at least 40 percent of the vote to win, and some had thought that the four-way might go to a run-off. Terry Doran came in second with 36 percent of the vote, while Asa Dodsworth took 6 percent, L. A. Wood took 5 percent, and N’Dji ”Jay” Jockin took 1 percent.
District Five
Incumbent Council Member Laurie Capitelli took 52 percent of the vote to Sophie Hahn’s 46 percent.
District 6
Susan Wengraf, council member to current District Six Council Member Betty Olds, had a decisive victory, with 76 percent of the vote to Phoebe Anne Sorgen’s 22.
